Maidenhead
5400sq ft with a Mezzanine
About this project
Skyline DC Ltd were employed to take over and complete the extension of an existing warehouse unit. The client had initially engaged another contractor for the project, but due to substandard work, their contract was terminated at foundation level. Our team was brought in to recover the project and ensure the build progressed efficiently and to a high standard.
Challenges And Solutions
When we took over the site we encountered an unsatisfactory foundation setup that required careful assessment and rectification before proceeding with the build. The client instructed us to recover the project and get the build back on track from the foundations onwards.
The Roof Cladding was nearing completion. Skyline had to design a Valley Gutter to interconnect with the existing Unit effectively.
This was critical to ensure proper drainage and prevent water ingress between the two structures. Our team designed and implemented the system to provide a long-term, effective solution.
Additionally, we supplied and Installed a Heavy-Duty Mezzanine to accommodate the new Offices. This Mezzanine had to align perfectly with the First Floor on the existing Building so that when the extension was connected the client could access the New First Floor from the existing building.
